How to reset or clear data usage in Android Phone with root explorer


If you've been getting the data usage warning on your android phone or probably want to monitor your data usage by resting it due to some abnormal data reduction from your internet service provider,i'm going to show you a simple trick you can use to clear your data usage. 

How to clear the data usage 
To perform this action, your device must be rooted ,we are also going to make use of root explorer app which you can download on Google Play Store or HERE

If you have the above listed things, then it's time for us to proceed. 

1. Open the root explorer app 
2. Under the "root tab" click on the "data folder"

 this will prompt you to grant root access to the app. 
Click on grant and proceed to the next step. 


3. Scroll down to" system folder" and click on it. 


4. Click on "netstats folder"


5. Delete all the files in the folder 


6. Reboot your device after doing the above steps.

After rebooting your device, your data usage counter will be reset to zero .

You can now monitor your data usage or stop getting the data usage warning.
