Samsung galaxy a5 2017 is the third phone the Korean smartphone manufacturer is introducing to the market, it comes with upgraded features that could be pass as a high-end device.

Design & Display
The smartphone, with it premium looking design can easily be mistaken as a high-end device, the phone is made with glass and metal, and aluminium side frame.
It body thickness is 7.9mm and weighs 157g, making it slim and not bulky to handled.
Samsung galaxy a5 is available in gold, light blue and pink colors, it has a separate light-up screen soft button below the screen, with the back button on the right and recent app button on the left.
The device is water resistant, and certified to the IP68 standard which makes it possible for it to sink below water of 1.5m depth for 30 minutes.

It comes with a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p Super AMOLED touch screen, the pixel density is 424ppi and it's protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Galaxy a5 is powered by the company own Exynos 7880 chipset, the octa-core CPU with Cortex-A53 runs on a clock speed of 1.9GHz, while the graphic unit is handled by Mali-T830MP3.
It packs an ample 3GB RAM to boost performance, the internal storage capacity is 32GB, and can be expandable up to 256GB via microSD
Galaxy a5 runs on Android marshmellow 6.0 operating system, it is expected to get an update for nougat 7.0 soon.
Camera & other features
The back camera is 16MP with Led flash and auto focus, it features includes Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR, the camera is also capable of recording 1080p video at 30/fps.
It also has a 16MP front facing camera, with f/1.9 aperture.
Samsung galaxy a5 comes with a dual sim slot, it has a fingerprint scanner mounted on the traditional Samsung menu key.
