Bank Verification Number which is commonly called as BVN was introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria to control illegal banking transactions in Nigeria.
All account holders in any bank are mandated to register for the Bank verification number,the process have been going on for some years now and without registering users will not be able to withdraw or transfer any amount from his or her bank account.
HOW TO CHECK BVN NUMBER
After registering, a message with your bank verification number will be sent to phone number you registered with.
However, if you didn't get the message, you can check for your BVN on your mobile phone.
To check for your BVN, you are to use the phone number you registered with,simply dial *565*0# and wait for the USSD code to finish loading and your BVN number will appear.
